Overview

Catapult DNP3 OPC helps you build an open, standards-based, multi-vendor SCADA system, while retaining your existing SCADA HMI and DNP I/O devices. Catapult DNP3 is OPC compliant, enabling all OPC compliant SCADA HMI's to communicate with DNP3 I/O devices, using the DNP3 protocol. It supports all important DNP3 communications like real-time data transfer, operator control, sequence of events and more.

  • Momentary changes (e.g. closed> open>closed) can be latched between OPC read requests to allow the HMI to alarm momentary changes.
  • Momentary changes reported using time captured by the I/O device for display in the HMI alarm system.

Configuration

  • 'On the fly' configuration without requiring system restart
